Difference between Injuria and Damnum

a). Injuria means an infringement of a legal private right.
         Damnum means an actual and substantial loss.

b). Injuria is actionable.
            Damnum is not actionable.

c). In injuria there may or may not be actual loss or detriment, still is actionable.
                   In damnum there is actual loss or detriment, still it is not actionable.
    Injuria therefore, is sufficient to found an action but damnum not.

d). Injuria contemplates legal wrongs for which there is legal remedy, whereas  damnum contemplates loss for which there is no legal remedy. Injuria deals with legal right, whereas damnum deals with loss.
