Why Ghori attacked on India?


1- Ghori was a very ambitious ruler and he was not satisfied with only Ghazni and wanted to expand his Empire to get hold of more power and control and wanted to conquer India.
2- He was well aware of India's political, religious, social and military weakness. He took advantage of all these weakness. Politically, India was divided into different states and provinces. Religiously, there was no equality among the men. There were many religion prevailed in India and in these religion there were sub-divison on the name of caste. As in Hinduism there are four Varnas. These Varnas also divided into  caste. Socially, the position of every person in Indian society is decided by birth itself. So there was social division prevailed at that time. India was also weak in military because Indians use the traditional system of warfare.
3- Ghori was also aware with the enormous wealth and gold that India had.
4- He wanted to attend more power and more wealth.
5- He also had the desire to spread Islam in India by conquering the Hindus of the country.
Thus, for all these reasons, he carried out a number of invasion to take over India.
